I'm a libertarian, an opinionated one, this seems to be a reasonably efficient way to convey my ideas.
For this nation to remain free the people must rule it under the Constitution.

I'm a strict constructionist with regard to the Constitution of the United States. This document was written to restrict the power of the federal government and guarantee the rights and powers of the states and people would remain intact.

The federal government was designed to act as an agent in behalf of the states in their dealings with foreign governments and to resolve disputes between states. It was intended to have only derived powers and very limited sovereignty.

Over the years the federal government has usurped the power of the states so that now the tail wags the dog.

This site is intended to educate others to the violations of Constitutional rights in which the government is involved.

I make no claims of impartiality, the views expressed will be those in which I believe.

The State of the Duchy

There is a great deal to be said for governmental gridlock, but I think we should give conservatism a chance to run the country for at least two years. We can decide then whether or not we want to bind it up again.

If the Republicans can go two years with control of both Houses of Congress and the Presidency and still not correct some of the damage (at least start making corrections) that's happened in the past 70 years to our system of government; then I'll be in favor of returning to gridlock and remaining in gridlock.

Some of the changes that are needed require corresponding societal changes. It took 70 years to get here; we shouldn't and probably can't get out of the mess in a year or two.

We can stop the hemorrhage in fairly short order. Nothing is broken, but there are some fairly serious sprains and strains. The patient isn't going to be running the 100 meters any time soon. The point is, we need to bring the patient back up to world class performance standards. His Constitution is in pretty bad shape; just years of being ignored have caused it. This can be corrected if we start now, but we can't wait much longer. A lot of fiscal therapy is required right now if we're going to save him. :-))
